Events, Experiential & Offline Activation

Bringing people into a room and making it worth their time: launches, activations, sponsorships and the follow-through that decides whether any of it mattered.

Aperçu

Events consume budget faster than any other marketing activity and are the most likely to be evaluated on how the day felt. A good evening with the wrong people in the room is an expensive social occasion.

So the work concentrates on two things everyone under-resources: who is actually in the room, and what happens in the fortnight afterwards. Most of the return from an event is decided by the follow-up, and most of the follow-up is planned the week after it should have started.

Questions

Questions fréquentes sur Events, Experiential & Offline Activation

Ce qu'on nous demande avant de nous contacter. Si votre question n'y est pas, posez-la nous directement.

How do we measure whether an event worked?

By deciding beforehand what would count, and by tracking the specific people who attended through to what happened next. Attendance and atmosphere are inputs; the measure is what the attendees did in the following quarter.

How far in advance should we plan?

Three to six months for anything substantial, more if you need a specific venue or speaker. The follow-up plan should be agreed before the invitations go out, not after the event.

Is sponsorship worth it?

Only with activation behind it. A logo on a banner is close to a donation. The sponsorship fee should usually be matched by a comparable budget for making something of it.
